Walk Band app
From its interface to the selection of instruments lurking within, there’s a sense Walk Band wants to be GarageBand for Android. It has a good stab at this, providing you with virtual instruments that include drum kits, drum machines, guitars and keyboards, and there’s also a multitrack synth for compiling recordings. Some of the sounds are a bit naff, although plenty of extra instruments are available for download, and for a freebie, it’s perfectly good for making a lot of noise (sorry, ‘composing your top ten hit’) until someone nearby very sternly tells you to stop.
